Two U.S. Air Force members wrestling in a Grec...

Coaching and mentoring has always come very easily to me. I’ve always loved working with wrestlers on my school teams and summer camps to help them improve their skills. I first experienced coaching and mentoring for wrestling in 1994.

I never realized how awesome those skills were until I graduated and started out in the business world in 2001. Coaching and helping people to develop their own business through National Agents Alliance and NAA Power Players Players was a natural transition for me.

I had always thought of coaching and mentoring as something you do with sports teams, but apparently you can do it with many other organizations and individuals as well.

At first I assumed that business coaching was pretty much the same thing as therapy, but it has some pretty important differences. Coaching and mentoring doesn’t seek to solve personality problems, but to help you make decisions and to psych you up so that you can stick with those decisions.

A good coach and mentor will inspire you and help you find out what you really want out of life. It can have a lot to do with long-term goals, but first it starts out with immediate actions. It is a great way to get you to pick yourself up and start moving again.

That’s what I do with NAA Power Players. National Agents Alliance is just the tool like a hammer or screw driver. You can use any tool to achieve your results. This is just the one that I use.

I went to see a few life coaches over the last few years. My wife and I even paid $15,000 for a week long leadership retreat to the Grand Cayman Islands in 2007.

It was all pretty straightforward, simple stuff, but it had some pretty powerful implications. Sometimes, the simplest techniques are the best. All you need is someone dedicated and inspiring to help you put them into practice.

Of course, the most important things in coaching and mentoring are not the techniques themselves but your attitude. Having a healthy attitude is what it’s all about. No matter how much theory you have, if you’re pessimistic, grouchy, and uninspiring, you will get mediocre results at best. If you can really bring a lot of energy to the program, on the other hand, you will be able to easily make a difference.

Sometimes, people just need someone cheering for them for a couple hours to get their lives back on track. National Agents Alliance is AWESOME for this!

The #1 thing I learned at that retreat was that YOU truly can accomplish ANYTHING that you want if you will just BELIEVE it. When doubt creeps in is when you feel fear and end up quitting too early… How sad is it that EVERYONE can achieve their dreams if they refuse not to quit.

The thing I love about my partnership with National Agents Alliance is not only helping families protect their mortgage but having the chance to significantly impact people’s lives with a simple business system that they can use to achieve freedom in their life…

At NAA Power Players I apply the same coaching and mentoring methods that I learned in my retreat to help my agents achieve the kind of personal growth in their lives that they desire.

At first I thought $15,000 was a lot of money, but when I realized how easily I could use these principles with my National Agents Alliance team, the value of the retreat shot up to well over 6 figures…even more.

Think about it. When I help just 5 people become millionaires as a result of my mentoring and training, and I earn many millions in override income, then how much was the value of that retreat? And this isn’t even including the emotional fulfillment of being “the one” person who came into a person’s life and completely altered his direction. Amazing!

And you know what else… Ten years from now I could lose all my millions and do you know what I would still have? All my relationships and of course knowledge I learned along the way. Don’t be afraid of failure.

If you’re not getting the coaching and mentoring with NAA Power Players you need to take your business income to the next level, consider a

partnership with National Agents Alliance and NAA Power Players..

Working with successful sales people when you are not very successful yourself can be extremely unnerving. It can actually drive you to the edge of insanity. I know. A few years ago, I was in a sales group barely making my quota while another agent who started at almost exactly the same time was excelling.

I could tell some of the things that made him a successful sales person, of course. He had that charm and ease with people, that ability to talk to anyone about anything and still stay in his comfort zone. It is often said that successful sales people are chameleons, and he definitely exemplified this.

And this is how nearly 200 people earned $100,000 last year with National Agents Alliance – simply by being a chameleon and mocking those who are already successful.

It’s a shame when people fail and blame it on the business model when clearly 200 six figure income earners is not a failing a system.

Back to my story. I may not have been the same social chameleon at that time, but I wasn’t exactly awkward. I had an easy time talking to customers and clients, and could make conversation on pretty much any topic.

Nonetheless, no matter how many sales books I read, no matter how many sales training seminars I went to, I couldn’t make my way up the ladder of success as fast I expected…

Two things happened that skyrocketed my career once I finally I figured them out.

1. I started spending time out of work with successful sales people. I had a big group of friends already so I didn’t really feel like I wanted to go out with people from the office after work. After all I just spent 50 hours with them.

Nonetheless, after one particularly stressful work day I went out for drinks with some of the more successful sales people in the office. I got to see how they interacted with each other, and I finally understood.

The most successful sales people, as far as I can tell, are people who never leave the job. And this what the best sales people at National Agents Alliance are like. In other words, whether they were getting drinks with friends, hanging out with their families, or negotiating a difficult sales deal, they always maintained the same salesman persona.

They used communication as a tool to get what they wanted, and were on their guard most of the time. They were constantly negotiating deals about everything, as if they were practicing. Sales, I began to realize, can be a passion for some people just like writing, programming, or any other career.

What really hit home with me was when I realized that sales was not even a job. It was a lifestyle. So instead of feeling like I was working all the time, suddenly it felt like I was never working because it was so much fun – like playing a game. Using communication to help people get what they already want is a blast!

2. The second thing that skyrocketed my sales was when I began teaching everything I was learning… I didn’t understand then, but looking back now I know exactly why this works so well. You see, when you’re reading, listening or watching something the information is on a one way path INTO your mind.

When you teach someone, the information must flow OUT the opposite way it came in. By running information along the “in path” AND the “out path” you commit it to memory with greater confidence.

People that don’t turn around teach or at least use what they’ve learned forget it in less than a year. It’s fascinating really how much faster you grow when you immediately turn around and teach what you learn…

Ultimately, I don’t think I had what it took to become one of the successful sales people. That isn’t to say that my success didn’t improve in the following few months When I started taking sales into the rest of my life, I noticed myself becoming better at it.

I learned how to get what I wanted in conversations, and I took that skill back to the office with me every day. Today I am still learning, still teaching and still growing with National Agents Alliance. The moment you stop growing is the moment life becomes boring.

The five essential qualities you need to cultivate and practice!

Perhaps you’re aspiring to a manager’s position with National Agents Alliance. Maybe you’ve just been promoted and now have cold feet – me, manager! – how do I learn how to be a good manager? Still other scenarios include people going in to business for themselves, who require a staff and some good managerial skills. Management positions may require skills specific to the organization.

Then again, there are five basic management qualities which fit any organization that you can learn with practice. If you cultivate these qualities, you’ll be well on the road to being a good manager with National Agents Alliance or any other company really.

Let’s take a look at each and see how these basics can help you succeed in management.

1. Know how to perform each employee’s job. Previously self employed people usually have this one down. As your business grows, you hire new people to do tasks you no longer have the time to do yourself.

But if you’ve never actually done it yourself how can you know how to help others get better at it? You can’t. That’s why it’s so important that you start selling right away with National Agents Alliance so that you set a good example for your team. You’ll gain respect from staff and your own managers.

2. Leadership qualities, along with good planning and organizational skills are required of the successful manager. After all, you’re the manager. Your staff looks to you to plan and organize team objectives and lead them to a successful conclusion.

This is why you’re the manager! Fortunately, with National Agents Alliance nobody’s reinventing the wheel so good planning is as easy as following the structure that’s laid out.

3. Learning how to be a good manager requires that you cultivate objectivity. As a manager, you cannot play favorites. Everyone naturally gravitates towards personalities with whom they have common interests. As a manager, you’ve got to toss that out the window when making decisions that affect your team. Base your business decisions on business issues.

You must learn to set your personal preferences aside and focus strictly on what’s good for the team objective. This often means spending more time with those who show they are serious about building their National Agents Alliance business and follow instructions well.

4. While it’s necessary to retain a certain distance from your staff, this doesn’t mean that you must adopt a superior attitude. Your team does the majority of the work, but you possess the wherewithal to make it all coalesce into a successful venture. While you direct the actions of your staff, demonstrating respect, fairness, understanding, guidance and encouragement is a win-win proposition.

Again, you gain respect on both sides. Rewarding good performance inspires your team to exceed the previous standard. National Agents Alliance strongly believes in recognition in reward. It’s apparent through their weekly leader boards and diamond rings that are given away at the end of the year.

5. One of the major signatures of a manager who has mastered the lessons of how to be a good manager with National Agents Alliance is he is genuinely interested in the personal lives of his agents as well as their business. He helps his team meet both their personal and professional goals by acting as their witness and their cheerleader.

Encourage your people to attain a higher level of skill and provide the means with which they may prosper in their careers and YOU will be rewarded handsomely.

These are the essential qualities of a good manager with

National Agents Alliance and NAA Power Players.

The scandalous bailouts of large corporations reveal disturbing stats in the CEO salary surveys

While most Americans are struggling to make ends meet, a certain elite segment of working individuals seem to enjoy yearly incomes that most of us do not enjoy in an entire lifetime of hard work. Just a few short months ago, the American public learned that there were massive failures in the staunch, long established institutions, such as the banks, mortgage lenders and automobile manufacturers.

In a moment we’ll comapre this to National Agents Alliance. We were told that our government became suddenly aware of these facts and that our Congress and Senate had to move quickly to avoid the catastrophic failure of these behemoth corporations.

We were told that these disastrous events had just fallen out of nowhere, but that we’d better be quick on our feet to rescue these failing institutions. With weekly, monthly and quarterly results reported on Wall Street, you’re forced to wonder how such massive incompetence could have failed to be noticed much sooner.

After the Enron scam, you might have thought that this couldn’t happen again. Surely the SEC, Congress and the Senate should have taken steps to see that these corporate practices had more oversight and accountability.

You might also have thought that an examination of their balance sheets would require immediate attention, including a good look at CEO salary surveys conducted for each of these potential bailout candidates, such as was conducted recently by the Associated Press. Wrong.

When the AP did its own research, the results of their CEO salary survey revealed some truly outrageous data. Here’s just a peek at what they discovered.

Among CEOs of Standard and Poor’s 500 companies, the average CEO was paid $10.5 million, not including stock options, chauffeured rides and other such lovely perks.

Based only on the CEO’s salary, how does this compare to the average American worker’s paycheck? The lucky, but only average, CEO takes home about 350 times your paycheck every year! If you’re working a minimum wage job, that same average CEO enjoys a take home approximating 900 times your income! Can you say absurd?

There’s only 1 thing to do about this in my opinion. You must become the CEO and that’s exactly what I’ve done with National Agents Alliance. Not only must you become the CEO, but to keep your position you must help others become the CEO of their own business as well.

But wait it gets better. Another executive and CEO salary survey examined the compensation received by top equity fund managers in the private sector. Their average, yearly pay approached the $600 million dollar mark.

If you have trouble wrapping your brain around this number, this is about 20,000 times that of your average American worker. One startling statistic comes in the form of CEO John Paulson, of Paulson & Co., whose annual compensation was $3.7 billion!

The “ladder” is too high and you don’t have enough time to climb it in your life time. Your only escape is to flip the ladder upside down and start out as the CEO, and build down. National Agents Alliance provides the perfect opportunity to climb down the ladder becuase the system is already in place. YOU just have to follow it.

When you consider that an individual who earns a mere $1 million per year could easily, with sound investments and a 5-year plan, retire with enough money to sustain the next few generations of his family, it’s easy to see that the CEO salary survey demonstrates that not one of these outrageously compensated CEOs can possibly be worth what they’re paid. The President of the United States certainly does not make this kind of money and bears far more responsibility.

Another fact which must be included in the discussion is that the companies who are being ‘rescued’ are headed by CEOs who obviously failed in their responsibilities. Had they succeeded, they would not be in need of rescuing.

The bottom line conclusion in the CEO salary survey results is that the taxpayers, for a couple of generations to come, will be paying for these individuals greed and incompetence. Too bad for YOU but you can still do something about it by exiting the corporate rat race and becoming your own CEO with National Agents Alliance.

With the economy in the shape it is, there are plenty of individuals looking at other resources for income. If you’re feeling the strain, you may have considered starting your own small business. Fortunately with National Agents Alliance you are in an independent position which means you control the number of people you see or don’t see based on the number of dials you make – versus a computer sales man who sits in the store waiting for people to come to him. Can you see the difference?

However, it’s still important to be careful with how you approach starting your own small business with National Agents Alliance or any business for that matter. A number of small businesses are taking nose dives these days simply because they’re not controlling their costs.

It can be expensive to start a business these days, especially if you’re buying into a franchise for thousands of dollars. The golden arches franchise costs about $1,000,000 per store!

One of the reason I partnered with National Agents Alliance was because the average person could get easily started with reasonable costs compared to any other type of business they could be part of.

The keys to starting your own small business is knowing what the demand is for your product, how much it will cost to run, where to set up your shop, and how risky it is

Many businesses fail because their products and/or services just aren’t in demand. Or maybe they’re not a necessity for most people. If you haven’t noticed, countless individuals are ruling certain things out of their budget. They simply cannot afford them!

However, there are some industries that people do not turn away from. Think about items like alcohol, coffee, food, entertainment, and prescription medications. Although you can’t just run out and start selling these things on the street, they are meant to give you an idea of what people can never do without.

Just like the government requires every driver to have car insurance we also feel every family with children should be forced to have mortgage protection. If the bread winner passes away or becomes disabled, his only family would be homeless on the street. That’s a lot more drastic than having to buy a new car from a wreck

Mortgage protection needs to be an essential part to every family’s budget no matter how broke they are. (The best part of National Agents Alliance is when you find someone who can’t afford to protect his family, you can help him afford to do so by making him a business partner and teaching him how to do what you do.)

Imagine that, not only helping him protect his family but to have a life again and gain back his dignity as the provider of his family.

When starting most small business’s, you need to have a location in mind, but with National Agents Alliance you work out of your home. You meet clients in their home so you never have to worry about office expenses which can be quite expensive.

You also don’t have to worry about business funding because all you need to get started is a $150 insurance license, reliable transportation, a smile and your first set of leads.

If you want to invest in your business and grow faster you can always use credit cards or web sites like SBA.gov and IncUSA.com for ideas on funding for your own small business with National Agents Alliance.

The federal government does hand out small loans to people that are striving to create a business. There is often even grant money available if you seek it out. Naturally the government will want to know what exactly you are spending this funding on.

Starting your own small business from home with National Agents Alliance is so simple to do because all you need in your home is a phone. If you have a wireless phone then your office is “mobile.”

For a $50-$100 bucks per month you can have your NAA branded web site up and running in no time with a description of your services and products. You even get a place for online customers to request quotes.

But until you’re ready to take that step and invest that money there’s no need to worry because NAA Power Players provides you with your Profile page and your agent listing on our Family Protection Group agent web site.

If you want to purchase advertising through web sites like Goggle you get to decide how much you spend on advertising. But again, don’t worry because NAA Power Players teach you how to build your business for free.

Now, for a minute, think about the cost of a commercial store in a mall, shopping plaza, or downtown. The monthly rent alone would be horrible. Why do this when you can start your own National Agents Alliance and NAA Power Partners business from home, and spend much less?

Make sure you check the complete NAA insurance story.
